The Gorbals Anecdotes was an online forum originally setup as part of the website of the Gorbals Initiative, a business and training organisation which ran from 1999-2010 based in the Adelphi Centre. The Gorbals Anecdotes collated stories from users across the globe from 2000 until it was abandoned when the Gorbals Initiative closed down. The Gorbals website admin salvaged the data from the forums and resurrected them as they contained many unique connections and stories.  The forums will reappear on this page with 16 years of memories and stories. Many of these may have been retold on other forums and on social media platforms which emerged  and ultimately replaced these forums as places to share such stories.
