"mind, nane o' yer monkey tricks, noo!" always left me wondering what tricks monkeys got up to that were forbidden to us kids!

If the dog was lying in the middle of the floor, my mammy would say "Get up and lie down".

Rosedoyle, sort of like the Tram Conductress' " c'moan, get aff!"

Edit: Reminds me too, of this little ditty!

"Oh, ye cannae shove yer granny aff the bus
Naw ye cannae shove yer granny aff the bus
Naw ye cannae shove yer granny, 'cos she's yer mammy's mammy
Naw ye cannae shove yer granny aff the bus!

Definitely Off Topic but worth another look for the umpteenth time! (Subtitled for the Sassenachs)

I'd rather keep that wan for a week, than a fortnight. (Someone who eats too much)
That put her gas at a peep. (That shut her up)
Her hoose is pure boggin. (A women's house that is really dirty)
Haud yer wheesht (Be quiet)
The walls have got ears (young ones listening to adults talking)
He's that tight, he would peel an orange in his pocket (someone not known for sharing)
Yer gey peely wally lookin' (you don't look very well)
