Amelia, I think Barney's might have been called the 51st Bar..not sure, but as Jimbo says, there doesn't seem to be any trace of Barney's..

I lived beside a pub called the wee hoose but it was known as barneys, it was owned by wee barney and his nephew something? cousins......probably not the same one, but somebody might remember it.

hi rose, naw it was the corner of cale road and naburn street, next door to symes the butchers....don't think it's the one everones looking for but would love to here from people who remember it. I live in the close beside the pub and had a great time as as a kid watching them get kicked out of the pub at 9 o'clock, everyone was a rab c or billy Connelly..haha
