Just trying this out. Nice to see the site up and running and hope it's as well used as it's predecessor.

I was born in Nicholson St and lived there until 1970 then moved to Castlemilk.

Hi Josie, all our family lived at Salisbury st it was the continuation of Warwick St (Nicholson) my mother moved up to Castlemilk from there. Our street was a brilliant st. i wish I had a penny for all the times I walked down Warwick St. going to school and chapel. Loved my childhood and there were brilliant people in our neighbourhood. Do you remember Mcindoes the dairy they only sold milk and butter from what I can remember. The woman who served in it her hands always looked cold and the shop was spotless. Milk was great then.

Hi Amelia, I never knew Nicholson St. as Warwick street. I was born there and it was called Nicholson St. then. I remember a wee shop run by Jewish people think it was called Babbins. Am sure there was a dairy next to it but don't remember the name of it. I loved growing up in Nicholson St.

To Rosie and Josephine I am the mother of JMcK he mentioned you both to me to see if I knew you. Did you stay in Castlemilk Rosie and were you ever involved in the tenents group up there as your name rings a bell. I cannot remember when Warwick St. changed it's name nor the reason I went to school with a girl who stayed on the righthand side of Warwick St coming from our st. Was the photo taken from the top of end of Cumberland st?
