O.K Amelia, if you want sumfing to keep you busy thinking, post some of the old scots words that yer Mammy or yer Granny used and that are seldom heard nowadays (you need to add the meaning, or what you think the meaning is).

Here's one that is more or less still in use > Gushet - More or less the point of a triangle where two roads converge.

My ma used to say wit time is it on that nock which means what time is it on the clock
