Yes I agree with you about someone mentioning a topic and then others joining in,on the point of the Laurieston bar which you mentioned in your post, it amazed me on a trip back to Glasgow on holiday nearly four years ago that the people who run the bar are the Clancy Family John ...

Can you remember taking a walk over the Albert bridge up Saltmarket and having a mooch round Paddy's Market, the place was always buzzing and you could buy a rake of things from a sink to an old tin bath to old tools and rakes of clothes. Then you could haggle a wee bit over the price ...

Hi Folks,
I would just like to offer my deepest sympathy to the Families of those who were killed and injured in that tragic event in and around Georges square . I believe there are 6 dead [so far] and 10 injured. We will find out more as time passes all we can do is offer prayers at the moment ...

Yes I borrowed those 4 volumes from my local Library and it is such great reading/info about the Gorbals/Oatlands area going back centuries ago and right up to the present day. I think Ron. Smith has done a wonderful job with all the volumes. As a Pensioner I haven't got that much money ...
