Aye, Amelia..I remember that wee shop...It only held the owner or whomever work in it and one customer at a time...As they say..."You couldnae swing a cat in it.."
Margaret...How are the plans for the wedding coming along...you must be very excited about all the fun that you will have...

Re: Larkfield Garage
The wee shop was where you bought your sweeties for the Cinerama right enough Amelia. One of my favourite picture halls. Very posh, but very easy to skip in. Freddy.
Re: Larkfield Garage
Hi Freddy how did you skip into the Cinerama was it in the door in Butterbiggins Rd. or the main door? I was always frightened to skip into the pictures bit of a coward even the Paragon which was easy I always paid but sometimes we got a pass for the Paragon off Mr. Nimmo whos shop was at the corner of Surrey St off Cumberland St. it then moved to the other side it was more like a wee kiosk I think it is still standing unless they pulled it down there when they started building the new houses in Gorbals St.

p.s. Why do they underline Gorbals for the spelling you would have thought that the computer would know this, must look up the dictionary to see if it is in it.

Amelia, they underline words like Gorbals because they are waiting for punctuation, if the word needs it. For instance I am replying to Amelia's comment. I have to go back and put in the apostrophe.

Re: Larkfield Garage
The Cinerama was via Butterbiggins road Amelia. Dead easy, as were all the picture halls, but that's another story. I remember Jock Nimmo who had the corner shop. His son Roland took it over and moved across to the Motherwells side.My cousin used to keep motorbykes in it before that. freddy.
