Hi..just to wish you good luck with the updated site!
Anyone looking for old photos should visit Urban Glasgow. Go to Glasgow in the 70's, then to Last days of the old Gorbals.
I was reared in Abbotsford Place in the 60's, and I'm attaching a pic of my block.

Re: New year, new beginning
Great picture, just like I remembered it, rolling down the road in my bogey! John
Re: New year, new beginning
Aye, John, twas a great street. I've just heard that I must credit the photo to the photographer, so thanks to Duncan McCallum for a great picture.
Re: New year, new beginning
Nice to see the site up, running and in a new format
Photos are a great idea
The photo of Abbotsford Place is one from Duncan McCallums collection, a new book of his Gorbals photos is being worked by a friend of mine, he may well join us on this board as unlike myself, he is a Gorbals boy
The first book of Duncans photos is Townhead from the 70s and is available, on line from Richard Stenlake
Best of luck to the new site, I hope you get all your former members back, and some new ones
Bye for now, Norrie
