new channel on telly all about Glasgow

Post by amelia »

Hi all there is a new channel on the telly all abut Glasgow. Don't know what the numbers are for sky but virgin is 159.
It only started on Monday the fist night they had Willie Haughey on speaking about how he became a millionaire and showing his old work n the Oatlands it was very good so if you are interested have a look. there is also a channel with Alan Rough it's a talk in so maybe the men would be interested.
Hope you are all well.

Hi Danny you can get it on freeview at number 23 sky is no.117.
Alan Rough comes on it in the evening doing a talk in with another guy it only comes on at certain times. Hope you can get freeview. Do you get Still Game it's a comedy with 2 Scottish guys a lot of swearing but it's a laugh so let me know if you get it down there in London. A lot of people don't like it because of the language but you can hear that every day when you are out.

HI Amelia, I don't get it over here either...ha . ha. Sounds good though.
I have friend up in Canada who gets a lot of the British shows and he recorded a lot of the Still Game shows for me on DVD's and when I get homesick, I pull one out and I am set for the evening...Fairly makes me laugh even though I have seen them several times now...
Another lovely day today.

Wather yesterday [Sunday] was really warm here in London and today looks like it's gonny be the same, I'm sitting here at my window which is wide open with plenty of red Roses bloomin outside of my ground floor window. My foot is playing me up was really bad yesterday but a lot better today and should be able to go out tomorrow. Speak later Amelia, take care and God Bless. x

Hi Josie I bought a new "doodah" (remote control) as the one I got with the telly broke but when my son-in-law was trying to tune it in they asked for name of telly we don't have a name on it as we bought it from the internet so couldn't do it properly and my hubby hasn't the patience for it so the only thing we can do with it is switch it o or off  I used to be able to do all these things nae bother but the old brain doesn't work as good now.
Nice to hear from you Josie

Come on Amelia...Do not give up...Get in touch with the Internet company you bought it from and ask them what the name of it is...I just programmed a wee old telly we have on a back porch we use in the summer and it worked...If I can dae it, so can you...I am so nervous just now watching the Portugal vs. USA game and they are ahead 2......1..Good game....I love watching football and got really involved in it when my grandson, Brendan, played in college...And, by-the-way, he was good...Still plays with a Ukranian team in Philadelphia, when he can...They love him...So do I.... :D
