Anecdote I am trying to locate a cousin.Her name is Susan (maiden name Beeby)I do not know her married name or even if she has married, her Mother's name was Mary & Father Dennis Beeby)Grandmother's name was Alice & Grandfather Joseph Beeby. as far as I am aware they lived in Penrith Cumbria. Susan would have been born between 1955 & 1966. If any one out there came help I would be very grateful.

Anecdote I was born at 342 Moffat Street (just across from the Reception) in 1952. My Granny Kennedy lived next close, my Dad's brother Alex Kennedy and wife May lived next door to us, they had a son James. My parents had 4 of us (3 boys and me). I was wondering if anyone would remember my Granny Kennedy or Grandfather James McQuarrie Kennedy as I'm trying to trace where the McQuarrie name came from, I'm trying to do my family tree for that side of the family. Anecdote I would like to contack the family of Mrs Nellie Ford "RE STOKES" the sister of "JAMES STOKES VC" they lived at 62 Lawmoor St the same close as the Donnelly family we were very good friends of the family, it is in referance to James Stokes VC his Memorial in the Rose Garden on Old Rutherglen Road also his WW 2 service medals

Anecdote Were have all,the stories gone. Have we forgot were we where born and bred. I went to gorbals school,lived next to the clyde at 29 hospital st,lived with the rats, drunks, fights and poverty ,but I never felt scared it was just the way we lived,we were nearly all in the same boat,and I think that,what makes us strong people,all over this world

Anecdote im looking 4 my fathers family,my father John Gibson born 1924 Ayr,he has a younger brother bobby who`s died and a younger sister who also has died,they were all brought up by there half sister,Margaret Ingram or Gibson they moved from Ayr around about 1935,and moved to Glasgow,my father joined the royal navy in 1946
