Missing uncle

I am trying to find out where my uncle John Nimmo McDonald went to. John lived at 345 Lawmoor Street from 1915 until 1946 / 1947 where he went after that is a mystery, his parents were John McDonald and Annie Jane G.T . Nimmo. Johns mother had two sisters that lived one street over i think, one being Mary Kyle Nimmo who married James McCleary, the other was Nettie Tait Nimmo who married Colin Archibald Watt,( both sisters died 1942 ) I'm hoping that some of Johns cousins might know where he went to or if he married after 1946. John was born 1909 in Hutchesontown Maternity Hospital. John had two sisters Bessie and Annie Jane.
