Can anyone tell me where Barney Green was located in the Gorbals
J had been to the premises in the late 50 s and he made lots of different
plaster of Paris casts of birds mainly and I believe they were hand painted.
If you went to the Kelvin Hall chances are you may have won one of
the hand painted birds. I can remember people would sometimes fix them
on the wall above a fireplace. He also bought in plastic key rings combs
and give aways that came from Taiwan< Formerly Formosa> I used to help
out in School holidays at the Kelvin Hall where he had a lock up shed . I
also remember going to Portobello Edinburgh in I believe and old Commer
Van.and Iused to deliver goods to different Stalls . in brown boxes .
