Last Days of the Old Gorbals

Here are literally dozens, if not a couple of hundred, photos that should stir some memories (9 pages, so remember to click!)
I remember going to the Gorbals Grain Mills (Page 2, 17th photo) to get Pease Meal for Granny to make Pease Brose! (It was great stuff)

Hi, when I worked as a plumber in Glasgow we used Pease Meal to repair cracks in lead lined water tanks, just dropped the water level down then spread the Pease Meal it would make its way tto the cracks and seal them.
