Talking aboot sweeties...does anyone remember the sweetie shop (Jacks I think) outside the bustop on Rutherglen Rd just around the corner from Logan St? They made everything themselves candy balls, nougat you broke with a wee silver hammer. My Ma and me used to work for the owners, they had another shop in Bridgetown where they lived...they wanted to train me as they never had any kids...but it never eventuated unfortunately. Was it Templetons or Galbraiths that was next door to it??
