Can I take this opportunity to thank everyone for their contributions and keeping the site alive. Without your words and thoughts then this site would be nothing but an empty forum so keep it coming.

I know that I speak to a lot of locals in the Gorbals who read but don't contribute. Much as I try to encourage them I guess many are restrained either by sheer modesty, lack of computer competence or possibly dare I say, indifference!

The overall website has stalled a wee bit from my point of view due to other demands on my time but my commitment to it is unwavering. Over a decade of memories and reminiscences, stories and acquaintances are worth preserving and adding to.

There is an organisation in the Gorbals called the Gorbalites which is a club for over the 60's. I may pay them a visit and try to encourage any of them to pay the anecdotes a visit. I am sure some of them may already do, but many more probably do not.

I'm sure there are many many more memories out there that may just be a wee chink of light for someone but which can be lit up to a whole story for others. Every little helps!
