Hi Danny &Gang

Ah yes the "Brutality of visiting the Dentist. I dont recall actually visiting a Dentist in the Gorbals but
but "Plean Street" in Scotsoun was my first Dentist experience and you would upstairs sitting on what was like an old
church "Pew" and a loud Buzzer would go and you would automatically move to the front end of the bench and if you could get
to end of that bench and you walked down the stairs to the "Torture chamber" and there would be this giant of a man who
looked like "Lurch " of The Adams Family" with a Jimmy Edwards moustache with welcome twisted smile on his face.
My final visit was the mid fifties where got this pink slip from my school teacher and I walked down to Plean Street
and did the "Walk of Shame " back to scchool without going in to the Dentist's.
I tried another denta Practitioner and gave me Gas and I remember going under and then waking up and feeling terrible for hours afterwards.!! But injections eventually saved the day and here in France last week I had to go and it is normally a 6 week wait
but got the appointment within a week . however when I went there it was not The Gentle Dentist I normally had but a young "Trainee"
pretty Rumanian who attended to me . What made me a little nervous was that 3 or 4 time during my treatment she she kept
calling in Gentle Dentist to over see her work and I have to say she did a great of fixing my broken tooth
But she made the Cardinal Error of not giving me an injection first.! I nearly jumped out of chair .
After that it was a "Dawdle"

Keep up the Good Work Danny,

Best regards Reg :)

Hi Reg,
Yes I think we all have a tale to tell about the Dentist and trying to count backwards to ten when the dreaded gas mask was plonked over your face still remains with me to this day !!!!. Glad you got your tooth fixed Reg , I bet you did jump [with no injection]. Speak later mate.
Regards.
Danny :)
