Anecdote Fao G53 and Annie grimes. My gt gt grandfather owned the Irish house shops from around 1885 to 1910 we think. The story goes that he took on a business partner who ripped him off and he lost the business. They at one point had a boat which brought dairy produce from Irvinestown in Fermanagh.

Anecdote Im looking for any photographs showing Camden Street and the Camden Bar, I think thats what it was called. It was around number 100 in the street, my family lived in that close so anyone who can ofer any pics of that time before the clearances please get in touch

I'm not sure if you'll be able to help but I'm looking for someone to lead a guided walking tour of the Gorbals area on Thursday 28th February to discuss the regeneration of the area with my Higher Geography class. Anecdote My husband, David Peat , took wonderful photographs of children around the Gorbals, Govan and Maryhill in 1968. Sadly David died this year but his collection of photos has been put in a book An Eye on the Street. It's 9.99 and the family is keen to find any of the children in the photos as there is an exhibition in Edinburgh next year. Anyone recognise themselves?
