Hi Norrie
Just joined the site, lost the old site for a while,in your post you asked if anyone wanted the pictures of the Queen Elizabeth flats being demolished, well it would be great if you could, when the flats were being built me and my pals used to play in them (happy days) I did manage to get to see them come down (sad day).
I lived in Mathieson St. my pals lived in Lawmoor St. can only remember a few of there names ( the old memory is going) Jamie Irvine or Irving, John Loage, anyway starting to wander again, would you have any other photo's of the streets round about Lizzy Sq. area, it would be nice to see some of the old place again.
Take care.
Rab (used to be called Bobby) :)

I used to live facing 200 Sandiefield Road flats in the damp houses on Crown St, I had a paper run after school way back in the 70's and had a lot of customers in both Sandiefield flats. kept me fit running up and down those stairs way back in the day.

Just some images form the last day of the blocks for those who couldn't make it to see it go!

A lot of waiting about for the 2.4 seconds of action. The street has changed for ever and we hope for the better.
