Post by norrie »

Hi folk, a friend of mine Peter Mortimer, Gorbals boy from Ballater st has a new book, The Gorbals in the 70s, its now on sale in Waterstones, Amazon and Richard Stenlake
Peter has worked hard on this book, as he had doing the Townhead book
All the photos were taken by Duncan McCallum, I have seen all his photos and they are superb
Christmas is coming, nice wee present for someone from Gorbals or anyone who is intersted in Glasgow

Bye for now, Norrie

Hi Norrie,
I think it's £14. 95 that I paid, will look up Amazon online just to verify that, if I don't post back on that price then it's the correct price Norrie.
Regards.

I seen this book advertised in the urbanglasgow web pages, It'll be a good look at the pictures and see who I can remember from the Era that style forgot. Long Black Hair, Wrangler Denims and Jackets, Simon Shirts, Arthur Black shirts, Crombie coats, Doc Martins and Polo Neck Sweaters. Luv it.

Hi Adelphi,
yes should be a good book to look at, I just hope that there are a few words beside the photos as I recently bought Gorbals children [great photos] but there wasn't any wording beside the photos which I thought would have enhanced it.
Regards.
