Thanks for your reply, yes Rutherglen was always a nice wee place and I did go there a few times with my girlfriend [centuries ago ha ha], so it's called DR Gorman's now wher do they get these names from Norrie ?. Like you now I tend to stay indoors to have a tipple, it's so expensive in bars now and then all the hassle in getting home, it's about £4 a pint in London now, when I left Glasgow in 1968 as a bricklayer and went to London the wages were £4/ten shillings per day and now that's more or less what they charge for a pint of beer. Ach sure the pension would have to be a £ 1000 a week to get me in the pubs again but what good memories Norrie, speak later pal, take care .
