Hi Amelia

I have sent Danny a message to tell him you're wondering where he is, so hopefully he'll contact you soon. Maybe he's like me a bit slower to get back on here after Christmas and New Year.

I saw your message to John regards your other wee win and replied to it on the other thread but have copied it here incase you missed it.

Hi Amelia

I have a hat I could send you Amelia, I bought it for William and Kate's wedding then my invite got lost in the post so I didn't attend.

Anyway that's great you had another win, as my wee Dad used to say "you're chappin at the door, you'll get the big one up any day now" Wouldn't that be great? I would love for that to happen to you.

Thank you for your good wishes for Christmas, it all went well but then had to do it all again New Years day. Told my hubby I'm running out of space at the big table, maybe next year I'll have to run two tables into the lounge, he said "why don't we just run to their (my kids) houses instead?

Anyway Amelia don't forget your freens when you hit the jackpot okay?

All the best, Sheila[/quote]

Hi Amelia+Shelia+gang,
Hi Amelia I sent you a private message on 30th December [just before all the N'eerday celebrations started :) ], it was only to say that I remembered Dirty Maggie's beside Greasy Peter's chip shop and I believe you could also "swap" comics in there too ?, I remember going in there one day with my school pal Dennis Smith who live round the corner in Moffat st, well he saw an American comic [DEL] and 9d was the price marked on it but he turned the comic upside down to show 6d and that's all he paid for it, of course it was cheating but as weans I think we must have all "pulled a few strokes". Well Amelia I have been having a good drink since the Bells, yesterday [Sunday] I went on the wagon to dry out ha ha. I usually have a few beers most days in my wee flat while reading or watching a bit of TV but went a bit crazy from the N'eerday [as I usually do] that's why I hadn't posted the last week but as I say I'm on the dry now until this Saturday when it's my birthday and whaahayyyyy ha ha. So no need to worry but thanks for your concern and I do hope that you all had a great Hogmanay/N'eerday thank God it's only once a year ha ha, Take care gang and Best Wishes for 2014.
Regards.

HI Danny....On reading one of your posts you said you had a pal named, Dennis Smith, was he the brother of Dorothy and Beatrice Smith who lived on Moffat Street across the stree from the St. Mungo Halls???...

Here in New Jersey we are in for another "as the weather man calls it...Artic Vortex" meaning it is going to be so cold again tomorrow and for the rest of the week..." But I would still rather have this than the heat of the summer when it gets about 90 degs. F. Hope you had a good birthday.. :D :D :D

Hi Margaret,
I have a funny feeling you are right [I'm sure he had at least one sister], I sometimes went to play up in Dennis's house and his Mother was a very nice woman. Dennis's Father had died and yes he lived almost opposite the St Mungos Hall. I had a great birthday Mag thanks [hic]. All that cold weather brrrr, stay safe and warm, speak later take care and God Bless. :)
Regards.
Danny :)
