has anybody noticed

Has anybody noticed that since the site was changed it's been become less used? All the old story tellers have disappeared. It's a shame because I used to love the old site it was more personal and easier to use for people to use :cry:

Hi there It might jog some memories if you knew where in the gorbals Jock lived and mabye what school he went to.....that usually jogs memories....did he have brothers or sisters, how old is he now. Hope you find Higgie for him it would be so nice.............keep looking

Hi Sheila, I remember the toilets being on the stairs with a nail in the wall and news paper cut up in squares stuck on the nail, can't remember this walkway in moffat street but I have seen a photo in one of the sites of this type of outside loo. My God how did we survive without the warm bathrooms ...

I went to Camden Street School from 1955 till 1962...my qualifying teacher was miss Ferguson, she was a treasure of a woman, always calm and very caring....the "headie" was Mr Scott and he was the best. Had a little office all red velvet and a cosy fire always burning in the fire place in the corner ...

I remember Alices restaurant at the briggit, the best ham ribs and cabbage you could get all for 2/6 with apple pie and custard and a cup of tea. widdnae call the king yer cuzzin

I only ever got one christening piece, was coming down the stairs in cale road one sunday morning when the o'neill family were coming out of their house in the close, the mother turned round and saw me and handed me a poke and they went on their way with baby Danny..I opened the poke and found two ...

the Havana in Caledonia road, was owned by 2 Italian brothers, fish was cooked to perfection and a bag of scrapes for a penny..was always a cheerful happy wee chippy.......happy memories Eh?

the one between naburn street and Camden street was haunted by me, loved the joy wheel and the maypole.....in the winter the ground would freeze over and we would haud on tae the joy wheel and slide round like loonies.......wissnae any health and safety in those days........lol

I lived beside a pub called the wee hoose but it was known as barneys, it was owned by wee barney and his nephew something? cousins......probably not the same one, but somebody might remember it.
