Hi Rose. A penny vantas was a very weak raspberry flavoured drink which we used to buy from Sadies chippy. She made them up herself on the premises and their was no lid or label on the bottle. Would`nt be allowed to day. Surreyboy.

An iced drink made with American cream soda was a special treat in the Red Star café with it`s high backed ornate wooden seats and cold Italian marble tabletops.
